Olympus OM-D E-M5 Leaks

A certain Olympus Micro Four Thirds  camera has been far from shy prior to its official unveiling (whenever this happens).  Today I had a rather nice email from a friend giving me some intel about this camera to follow up on the earlier leak I did (https://thepathuntaken.wordpress.com/2012/01/21/olympus-leaked-image-of-the-om-d-camera/)

This person suggests the E-M5 could sport a “super fast” autofocus and 3D tracking system, an external “weather-sealed” GN10 flash (which will come very in handy with this British weather) and additional filters. If the rumors are to be believed, you’ll be able to see the effects of the image stabilization through the electronic viewfinder.

Olympus: Leaked image of the OM-D Camera

From the company that brought you the E-1 which in my opinion changed the SLR market… And now after looking at the website 43 Rumers I found this:

THE OM-D

This is claiming that this is the soon-to-be new addition to the OM series, which is expected to get unveiled next month. Olympus is no rookie in the Micro Four Thirds market (when they designed it) so it shouldn’t come as a surprise for the rumored specs to be a decent upgrade in comparison to its PEN Cameras. Allegedly, this camera will be sporting a magnesium chassis, 16 megapixel sensor with HDR optimization, up to 25600 ISO and a 3-inch OLED swivel display (because Olympus knows you love gadgets with rotating screens), amongst other features.

So does this tickle your fancy? Well, if it does you better get saving now as rumers have it. It will be on sale for just over #1000 (RRP)
